Christmas pictures

Eliza Claire's new friend

This is Michael's dog Eli. He was fascinated with Eliza Claire. He sat and guarded her the entire time. We couldn't figure out if he was protecting her...or waiting for us to turn away so he could eat her. He did act like she was a loli-pop.

Presents!

Eliza Claire learned how to tear into presents. She got some great stuff... although I think she still favored the paper and bows!

Christmas morning

This a clip from our family's Christmas morning. Please ignore us in our jammies...but pay close attention to the pile of rustling paper in front of the tree!

Eliza and Santa

Eliza Claire and I went on a search for Santa. We found him at the mall (imagine that). I was so worried she would be afraid, or distracted, but she was happy and ready for photos!

More jumping!

I thought this clip was cute too, so I had to share.

Notice her sticking her tongue out... she does that all of the time now. I thing she is playing with her new teeth!

two teeth!

The first one broke through a week ago...then the second one, only two days later. She will try to bite the spoon now at dinner time, and instead of sucking on fingers she will gnaw on them.

Eating crackers

My mom got Eliza Claire some of those baby crackers that get really soft. (I can't spell them) She loves them. You can tell how proud she is to feed herself. When she finished, she was trying to pick up the crumbs off the tray.
The second picture is her sad face when we wouldn't give her more.

Sitting like a big girl all over town.

My mom got these shade for her one day when we were shopping. Eliza Clair held them and would not let us take them back. We had to cut the tag so the girl could ring them up. Then, she wore them the rest of the day without touching them. Now, she will pull them off when she wants to.
She is sitting up in shopping carts and high chairs everywhere! This was the first time at a restaurant.

Look what's under the tree.

Eliza Claire is rolling all around. I think she was going for the stuffed toys in this picture. She can go all across the floor. My mom thinks she may not crawl and just become an expert roller to get around. (like I did)

lounging on the couch

Jump Around!

We have had this jumparoo for at least a month now. She has always liked playing in it, but she just kinda wiggled around. Now, she is jumping for the hanging toys.... and just for the fun of it!

Learning to love books already!

I think this is her favorite book. Eliza Claire can now turn the pages herself. She likes all of the bright colors and the pages must taste great! After learning about a few animals she is distracted by the "plastic doughnuts".

Love being in the country

I love visiting Ackerman and Starkville. There is something about being out in the country that makes me feel at home.

Getting together with famly

We all enjoyed our family time over the weekend.

Eliza Claire and her cousins

We got together with the family in Starkville for Thanksgiving and had a great time. Eliza Claire got to play with her cousins for the first time. It looks like they will be great friends growing up!

Hotty Toddy

We all went to the Ole Miss vs LSU game last weekend. Eliza Claire an I were out numbered at first, but then Amy, Uncle Michael, and other Rebel friends arrived. Eliza Claire proved to be good luck in her little Ole Miss outfit (which got dirty and had to be replaced before I got the camera out). It was a little colder than I anticipated, but we had plenty of blankets, with different team logos, to keep her warm.

Eliza Claire loves her dogs.

I was cleaning out my closet the other day and, of course, brought Eliza Claire with me. Well, always Oliver goes where ever Eliza Claire is. I turned around and saw this....they were both looking at their shadows on the floor!

Playing "grab the cat"

I think I can get that

Al..most.. got.. it.....

I had it!
